Our Company

founded multiple line in 1932 by James C. Greene who had a unique property-casualty background for that time. We are the oldest firm in the country so founded and still operating under the same identity and (up-dated) management. From the beginning we have educated, trained, recruited and promoted multiple line personnel. Not however, to the exclusion of specialists and appraisers and with due regard to the peculiar needs of self insureds, specialty underwriters and the transportation industry.

Our Territory

is regional, the two Carolinas and border areas of Virginia and Georgia. Through 29 offices. Intensively covered with low-radius travel. We opt for the advantages of the region, and do not seek territorial bigness.

Our Services, Methods and Costs

are tuned to the regional operation which does enjoy certain advantages. Our spread of offices and adjusters must perforce mean faster service, less travel time and mileage cost. Regionally "nativized" personnel provides recruitment advantages with low turnover. Top management is close to the action scene, quickly responsive, uninsulated. We are not out to undersell anybody but as a closely held corporation we have no stock to sell and therefore, no "earnings-growth" pressure, no need for "quota" adjuster production. We can flex quickly with times and circumstances.

Quality Control

To augment supervision of files by branch management personnel, each office is periodically audited by our Quality Control staff. Such audits rendered include a thorough review of both open and closed files, generally on an unannounced basis.

CAROLINAS CATASTROPHE SERVICING

CENTRAL FAX/REPORTING: For maximum assigning ease and facilitation, channel assignments by fax or phone via our Raleigh office for NC, and for SC, similarly via our Columbia office. Assignments so received will be routed immediately to our nearest Carolinas servicing office.

CLAIMS MANAGEMENT: Tailored to user clientele needs, available by line of business or entire programs.
